"Bulbe IV"
For this ring, I was inspired by coral.
The creation of Bulbe IV is a long story, beginning with a very simple structure of large, interconnected triangles. On this basis, I wanted to develop a shape inspired by certain details of the coral I had in mind. All the sculpting work therefore consisted in fighting against the rigidity of the imposed structure to bring the volume to evoke this coral. In this way, a succession of protuberances seem to have emerged from the jewel’s entrails, stretching the ring’s volume under the effect of a push. Each volume thus created ends in a crater. The trace of the triangular structure is still there, but it’s a geography full of variations between hollows and bumps that now make up the ring.
