« Cartilage VIII » is unique in that it is composed of 6 apparently identical curved elements which, when assembled by interlocking, form an articulated bracelet. Each module bears a large number from 1 to 6, giving it a precise place in the chain linking them together and asserting its unique visual character. In fact, each module is also different in size, growing larger as it moves away from number 1. The bracelet is therefore cast element by element before being assembled.
