"G\u00e9ophysik X"
Geophysik X is a pendant shaped like a seed.
For Geophysik X, I assembled three increasingly small spheres, which I then fused and deformed to obtain this peanut shape. But the surface of the sculpture, studded with prominent triangular compartments, is as reminiscent of an exotic fruit as it is of the surface of an explosive hand grenade. The evolution of the sculpture from top to bottom gives the impression that this form was born from a sphere which, by splitting into two at regular intervals, grows, obeying a logic of maturation and internal development similar to the growth of seeds in nature.
