"Branching II"
Sculpture in white bronzel and wood
This sculpture proposes a passage from one branch to another through a muscular metal structure evoking the human arm as well as the horse’s leg. The structure is in two parts, bent in the middle. Muscles seem to hold them in this tense position. The branches point in the same direction, but are offset in height. A transformation seems to be taking place from one side of the sculpture to the other. The rhythm of 2 is repeated for each element in the sculpture’s vocabulary. Here again, the branches in the sculpture come from my walks around my home in the South of France. As a result, they vary in shape and species from one piece to the next.
This sculpture is an original work produced in a limited edition of 8 pieces (What is an original work ?). It is shown here, as is often the case, in white bronze, but it can also be made in bronze, silver, resin, or even gold !
