"Branching XVIII"

Sculpture in white bronze and wood

For this sculpture, I had in mind a shape that would be crossed by a branch at several points. This branch connects the front to the back of the sculpture and appears as the main axis of the volume.
The sculpture, presented here in white bronze (simulation), uses a whole vocabulary of solids and voids connected by more or less pronounced depressions that wind around each other, starting from a solid volume at the front of the sculpture and ending in a very thin, shell-shaped volume at the back.
Protrusions allow the sculpture to balance on the ground. True to the principle of the Branching series of sculptures (connecting two branches of different essences by a volume that would serve this networking), a second branch circulates under the volume, between the legs, to rest on the belly of the metal volume.
From a distance, it looks like a small animal whose function is to transport branches !
This sculpture is an original work produced in a limited edition of 8 pieces (What is an original work ?). It is shown here, as is often the case, in white bronze, but it can also be made in bronze, silver, resin, or even gold ! The branches were gathered during walks in the forest, so they vary from one copy to another.

Gold fluctuates a lot, so contact me for a more precise quote. The price shown is an estimate

Most of my work is based on a 3D model that I create and print before casting in metal. You can therefore choose from several materials (silver, gold, stainless steel, bronze, white bronze or Smoky black resin) and, why not, imagine it in a larger size. So don't hesitate to contact me (free estimate of course ;)
