"Branching XI"

Sculpture in white bronze and wood

The idea behind this sculpture was to balance two branches of different species with an openwork structure. The branches pass through the metal structure, which holds them in place like an exoskeleton. Lines of force appear on the surface of the exoskeleton which, despite the mechanical nature of the repeating rectangular patterns that form his skin, seem to curl up, creating lines of tension akin to arm muscles. As always, the branches are different from one specimen to the next, as they are individually chosen for their character in the forest. Nature never does exactly the same thing twice !
This sculpture is an original work produced in a limited edition of 8 pieces (What is an original work ?). It is shown here, as is often the case, in white bronze, but it can also be made in bronze, silver, resin, or even gold !

Gold fluctuates a lot, so contact me for a more precise quote. The price shown is an estimate

Most of my work is based on a 3D model that I create and print before casting in metal. You can therefore choose from several materials (silver, gold, stainless steel, bronze, white bronze or Smoky black resin) and, why not, imagine it in a larger size. So don't hesitate to contact me (free estimate of course ;)
