The 3-legged sheep is an attempt to create volume with just two evenly folded sheets of A4 paper, joined opposite each other. The two sheets are held and oriented by 3 legs. Each plane created by folding the sheets brings light into play in very different directions. So, despite the basic simplicity of the surface - an A4 sheet of photocopy paper - it turns out to possess a very strong contrast. The inside of the sculpture is very wrinkled, thanks to the use of wax-coated tissue paper, further accentuating the contrast between the inside and outside of the sheets that have become volumes.
