"Poly II"
Sculpture in paper/epoxy crystal.
Poly II extends the play of folded paper to two conical surfaces. The two cones are smooth and full. They appear to be inflated with helium, suggesting that the sculpture could take flight. This sensation is reinforced by the translucent nature of the crystal paper. Moreover, the asymmetry between the two cones suggests that swelling is taking place.
